What is ISO 9001?

It is a set of quality standards and management. Standard ISO 9001 has been
developed by ISO International Organization for Standardization and it specifies the
requirements for a good system of quality management that can be used for
internal application by organizations, for certification or contractual purposes.
The current version of ISO 9001 (the fourth) dated November 2008, and this is reflected
as ISO 9001:2008.
ISO 9001:2008 applies to any organization, regardless of
size or sector, looking to improve the way it works and it functions.g
